Fellow Designation
NCMA offers a special designation to members who have achieved significant personal and professional achievement – i.e., FELLOW. The FELLOW designation requires certain minimum levels of education, experience in the profession, service to the community and NCMA.
CFCM/CCCM/CPCM Certification
NCMA now offers three Certification Programs: The Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) and Certified Professional Contracts Manager. Exams are taken on demand at local proctoring sites. Our chapter has formed study groups to help you prepare for the exams. More information will be coming soon.
Graalman Points
The Los Angeles South Bay Chapter has obtained “Gold” status several times in the past. The most recent “Gold” status was for the 2009-2010 program year. The Walter R. Graalman award is designed to recognize chapter excellence and to provide formal standards for measuring quality. The Los Angeles South Bay Chapter is the only Category III (Large Chapter) in the nation to achieve this distinction! There are three categories of recognition: Gold, Silver, and Bronze and three classes of chapters: Category III – large chapter (201+ members), Category II – medium size chapter (101-200 members) and Category I – small chapter (0-100 members).
We are a large chapter requiring 250 points to attain the Gold status. We are proud of our Chapter’s achievements consistently for over 40 years. We work hard to obtain gold and it is not an easy task that one person can do alone, but it is a collective effort and hard work from everyone in our Chapter.
